Karate Instructors

Sensei Debra S. Ripsz - Owner and Chief Instructor – Certified 6th Degree Master Black Belt. Sensei Deb has 30 years Martial Arts training with 21 years of teaching experience. She has studied three different Kenpo systems and continues to study with several Martial Arts Masters expanding her knowledge in multiple karate disciplines. Sensei Deb has participated in nationally rated tournaments as a Competitor and Judge. She has attended many seminars over the past 10 years with some of the top instructors from the Ed Parker System, e.g. John Sepulveda, Paul Dye, Huk Planas, Skip Hancock, Ron Chapel, Jeff Speakman, Frank Trejo, as well as instructors from different Martial Arts and Kick Boxing styles, e.g. Benny the Jet, Gene Labelle, Vladimir Vasiliev. She has participated in four of the Jeff Speakman International Kenpo Camps held annually in Las Vegas with Black Belts from around the world. Sensei Deb has also donated her time to teaching several self-defense classes in Corporate Business with the proceeds going to shelters for abused women. She has extensive experience as a New Products Program Manager including most recently 16 years at 3Com.


Sensei Vin – Sr. Instructor, Certified 4th Degree Black Belt. Sensei Vin has 29 years of Martial Arts training with 21 years of part time teaching experience. He has studied three different Kenpo systems and continues to take lessons with a 9th Degree Master. He works full time for the Town of Grafton.		Sensei Ann Morreale - Certified 4th Degree Black Belt. Sensei Ann has 20 years Martial Arts training with 9 years of part time teaching experience. She has studied three different Kenpo systems and has several years experience in Shorin-Ryu. She works full time as a Veterinarian Technician at the MetroWest Veterinarian Clinic in Milford.


Sensei Rick LeDoux - Certified 3rd Degree Black Belt. Sensei Rick has 12 years Martial Arts training with 6 years of part time teaching experience. He works full time as VP of Operations at Protium Technologies in Marlboro.		Sensei Maria Plante - Certified 3rd Degree Black Belt. Sensei Maria has 12 years Martial Arts training with 6 years of part time teaching experience. She works full time as Assistant Compliance Officer at Brown Lisle Cummings in Rhode Island.

Sensei Chris Madden - Certified 4th Degree Black Belt.Sensei Chris has been studying martial arts since 1984. He holds a 4th degree black belt in taekwondo and 2nd degree black belt in hapkido, and has been a certified instructor since 2001. He is now studying kenpo and tai chi with Defense-Wise. Sensei Chris works from home, down the street from Defense-Wise, as CTO of a small start-up company and as an independent computer consultant.		Sensei Chuck Bohaboy - Certified 2nd Degree Black Belt.Sensei Chuck has 11 years Martial Arts training with 7 years part time teaching experience. He works full time as Superintendant of Sewers for the Town of Grafton.

Molly Wyman - Certified 2nd Degree Black Belt - Assistant Instructor. Molly has 12 years Martial Arts training and has been an Assistant Instructor for 4 years.
