Yoga at DefenseWise is expanding

New Class on Fridays from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Gentle and Welcoming/Slow Flow Yoga

DefenswWise is truly blessed to have two wonderful, caring Yoga instructors. These classes are accessible to all levels and abilities, with modifications offered for almost every pose to meet individual needs. It is a great environment for beginners interested in building their practice.

Both instructors know that everyone's time is precious and to that extent they work hard to help all students achieve their best class experience every time they come into the studio.

Instructor Jodi Briggs:

Defense-Wise Yoga Grafton | Upton | Sutton | Millbury | MA instructor Jodi Briggs has lived in Grafton, MA for 11 years with her husband and two boys. She was the owner of Yoga on the common in the center of Grafton for 3 1/2 years. She is very passionate about her classwork and had thousands of yogis in and out of the studio during that time.

Jodi has been teaching for a total of six years and now has brought that passion to DefenseWise. Jodi calls herself a very gentle yoga teacher. She describes her style as "welcoming all levels in a breathy, feel good class"!

Jodi studied under Johnnie Gilesspe and Diana Horeshiet from Empowered Yoga out of Wilmington, DE.

Instructor Dawn Geoffroy:

Defense-Wise Yoga Northbridge | Westboro | Shrewsbury | Hopkinton | MA instructor Dawn Geoffroy has been teaching group fitness for over 15 years. As life has changed, so has her approach to fitness. Dawn holds multiple certifications including Group Exercise, Spinning, Kickboxing, PiYo, YogaFit and is also a certified Personal Trainer.

This Yoga program is a slower-paced vinyasa class that includes a series of poses linked by flowing movements as well as static poses designed to build balance and stability. In this class you will learn to synchronize movement with breath, building heat in the body while exploring the balance between effort and release. Specific guidance is given to protecting the knees, shoulders, hips and spine while simultaneously building the strength necessary to protect these joints long-term. Dawn enjoys educating participants on the best form and function to get the most out of their time on the mat.

Class Schedule and Fees:

Monday Evening Class - 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday Morning Class - 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Friday Morning Class - 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Senior Rate $12

What to bring

Yoga Mat, water, patience, a sense of humor, and definitely wear comfortable clothes
